What Makes The Trunki So Special? (+ WIN A Trunki Worth R1000!)

What Makes The Trunki So Special? (+ WIN A Trunki Worth R1000!)

Knox was incredibly spoiled last week when he got to choose his very own Trunki! I have been eyeing them out for years, but other than a suitcase kids could ride around on – I never quite understood what made them so special (or quite frankly, worth the price tag). Well, I finally get it. I’m going to break it down for you – and offer you the chance to win one of your own! Well… not of your own, it will be for your kid… but you know what I mean.

Okay, so first of all… the design options are amazing. It is enough to make any kid (or adult’s) mind spin. It took forever for Knox to choose one – and to be honest, he surprised me with his choice. I really thought that he was going to opt for Pedro The Pirate (and so did most of those of you who followed along on Instagram), but he ended up choosing Rocco Racer. Knox can be so unpredictable at times.

Our Trunki arrived within a few days of us placing the order – so… what makes it so special? that Trunki is THE ORIGINAL kids ride on luggage and that it’s the only one that comes with a 5 year guarantee….

1. It Is Made For Little Hooligans

The Trunki gets tested to the extremes to make sure it can take all the wear and tear an excited toddler can throw at it.  They seem to be so confident of the quality, that they offer a 5-year guarantee with every Trunki purchase!

2. Space!

It has more than enough space to fit all those pesky toys you always have to end up carrying (and more).

3. It is secure

It has secure, lockable latches on the sides so you don’t have to worry about the suitcase opening up and spilling its contents everywhere.

4. It’s FUN!

You don’t have to carry it around everywhere, your little toddler can literally ride it wherever you are going. This is brilliant for airports! Especially for them to sit on when you are standing in those long, usually delayed boarding queues. The horns are there for easy grip so that they can steer their Trunki easily.

5. Just Imagine

Knox was obsessed the moment we pulled his Trunki out the box, but when we opened it he nearly passed out from excitement. There were sheets of stickers for him to decorate and personalize his Trunki. He even got dressed up for the occasion. One of his favorite things to do at the moment is to fill his Trunki with toys, dress up as a stormtrooper and zip zap all over the house in his race car spaceship.

Yes, the Trunki is pricey – but this year alone we have gone through about 4 backpacks. The suitcases never last and my kids have no interested in lugging them around themselves when we travel. They are either too big, too small, too bulky, too soft, too heavy… you get where I am going with this. The Trunki will last for years, and provide my little Knox with hours of imaginative play while also being functional. I am definitely getting Mikayla one as well!

I really liked this paragraph when introduced to the Trunki: “We believe travel is about new experiences, creating memories and making every journey just as enjoyable as the destination. We understand that whilst parents buy products, children make friends with them, so everything we create has the functionality that grown-ups value, and the personality that kids adore. The imagineers at Trunki headquarters,  use ingenious design (and a little bit of fairy dust) to create products for every journey, whether it’s a day trip to the zoo, or a round the world trip.”

I love the Lilac Hello Kitty Trunki. Matthew would probably want the Rocco Racer Trunki. Ethan would probably like Frank the Fire Engine Trunki. And I’d just get Harper the Una the Unicorn Trunki. If I had to be forced to choose one, I’d probably go for the Una the Unicorn Trunki 😀
